Reports published in 1995

The following reports were tabled in the Victorian State Parliament by the Auditor-General. They contain the findings of performance audits and audits of financial statements, as well as a report on the finances of the state. All reports are prepared under the authority of the Audit Act 1994, and are tabled in Parliament.

Report of the Auditor-General on the Statement of Financial Operations, 1994-95

Equality in the workplace: Women in management

Tabled 10 May 1995: The audit objective was to examine issues relating to the advancement of women to managerial positions throughout the Victorian public-sector with a view to assessing the extent to which any policies or practices discriminated against women.  (220kb pdf)

 

Managing parks for life: The National Parks Service

Tabled May 1995: The overall objectives of the audit were to examine the management strategies and practices of the National Parks Service in order to determine: the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of the NPS in managing parks and reserves in Victoria; the ability of the NPS to meet its obligations under the National Parks Act 1975 and in accordance with several key documents such as the Department's Corporate Plan, the NPS Business Plan, the Tourism Victoria Strategic Business Plan and the Government's Policy on Conservation and Land Management; and the benefits to Victoria, from a conservation and tourism perspective, of the parks system currently managed by the NPS.  (285kb pdf)

 

Handle with care: Dangerous goods management

Tabled 11 May 1995: The overall objective of the audit was to evaluate whether the existing legislative framework and the activities of key government agencies are conducive to minimising risks arising from dangerous goods activity within the State.  (400kb pdf)

     

Ministerial Portfolios Report

Tabled May 1995: The Report on Ministerial Portfolios mainly contains matters identified from financial audits conducted by the Victorian Auditor-General's Office for the year 1993-94.  (840kb pdf)
