Represented persons: Under State Trustees'
administration
Tabled 24 May 2000: A number of
people within our community have a disability, such as dementia or
intellectual impairment, which results in them requiring assistance
in managing their financial and legal affairs. For many of these
people, State Trustees is assigned
responsibility by the Victorian Civil
and Administrative Tribunal, Guardianship List to
act as administrator of their affairs. The audit was directed at
assessing whether State Trustees had discharged its
responsibilities in the best interests of represented persons,
in compliance with relevant
legislation, in a cost-effective manner and with proper
