The Victorian Auditor-General’s Office (VAGO) strives to be a catalyst for continuous improvement in the accountability and performance of the Victorian Public Sector, by providing independent assurance to Parliament.
The office assists the Auditor-General, who is an independent officer of Parliament, appointed under legislation to examine and report to Parliament and the community.
