This is the Finance Statement on the receipts and payments of the Consolidated Fund and the Trust Fund for the year ended 30 June 1992, accompanied by my Report on that Statement and other matters of special interest.

This Report dealt with over 70 issues raised during the 1990-91 audits of government departments and public bodies.

This report presents: a review and analysis of the State's financial operations for the year ended 30 June 1991, and the financial position at that date, comment on significant trends emerging over time in regard to the financial operations and position of the State, and reference to other financial issues which, in my opinion, warrant Parliament's attention. The Report also contains information on certain matters which are required to be reported to Parliament under other provisions of the Audit Act 1958.

This report completes the cycle of auditing activities in relation to the 1989-90 financial year, and reflects ministerial portfolios and responsibilities operative at the end of February 1991.
