A detailed statement prepared by the Treasurer of the receipts into, and expenditure from, the Consolidated Fund and the Trust Fund.

This is the fourth report in respect of the 1983-84 financial year covering the audits of certain departments and public bodies declared in accordance with the Annual Reporting Act 1983, and the audits of a number of other statutory bodies, not declared under the Act, which I am required by law to audit. The report includes the results of a comprehensive audit review of the Emerald Hill Restoration Project.

This report is supplementary to the reports of 18 September 1984, in relation to the Treasurer's Statement for the year ended 30 June 1984, and of 1 November 1984, on the audit of certain departments and statutory bodies during 1983-84.

In 1983 a final report was presented to the Parliament on a review of procedures of Government departments and authorities with respect to works contracts. This report covers 2 further reviews undertaken by my Office, and deals with a review of procedures adopted in the areas of stores by Government departments and authorities and cash management by Government departments.

The Treasurer’s statement of the receipts and payments of the Consolidated Fund and The Trust Fund for the year ended 30 June, 1984 accompanied by the report of the Auditor-General and the documents specified in the forty-seventh section of the Audit Act.

The report provides a brief description of each statutory body, an outline of the scope of the audit and any audit observations and recommendations of a significant nature which arose from the audit.
