Have your say—School Councils in Government Schools

UPDATE—New forum dates added
Due to a high level of interest in meeting with us to discuss school governance in Victoria, we have scheduled some additional dates and locations for the forums—please see the table below.

In 2017–18, the Victorian Auditor-General's Office is conducting an audit on the role of school councils in government schools.

Thank you to all school principals and presidents of school councils who have completed our survey—your feedback has helped us to understand what is working well and where there may be areas for improvement.

School council members—have your say

We would also like to talk to members of school councils to hear first-hand what is and isn’t working well in school governance, or about any issues you would like to raise.

During October, we will be holding a series of forums for school councillors. We will provide some background information on the school governance model and invite you to share your experience on its strengths and weaknesses.

Forums will be held at a range of venues across Victoria—see details below.
