In these times of increased building activity in Victoria, there is an ever increasing requirement for planning processes for land use and development to be responsive to the needs of the community while protecting our amenity, heritage and environment.This Report provides an insight into the way in which the Department of Infrastructure, in supporting the Minister for Planning and Local Government, and a cross-section of eight Councils administered their planning functions.
